tea-head, sleepy-head.

Search me with eyes, clasping wool from the fleece,
Make me a carpet to fly from the boneyard teeth
Snapping and hollering, glowing white, heavenly
For such a long time, we dance circles, orbiting.

You speak to me, in fever dreams,
Where every-thing's falling apart at the seams.
We hold onto something, that's probably nothing,
A smile and a blowjob left us empty, I fear.

Filled with such love, my head it is leaking
All over your bedspread, while you, you are speaking
Of Brubeck and bass lines and smoking tea before sleeping,
While I wish you were speaking of what's been eating you,
inside out and inside in.

This could be as broken as my old violin.

All of my air,
you can have it to breathe.
But please, look at me
when you get up to leave.
